Loro Piana and Dimoremilano debut together for the first time at Milan Design Week 2025 with an immersive installation titled La Prima Notte di Quiete, exploring the boundaries between reality and cinematic fiction.
In Loro Piana's Cortile della Seta courtyard, the Maison's Milan headquarters, the immersive experience transports visitors to a realm where the real and the plausible subtly intertwine.
As visitors cross the threshold, they are transported to the plush atmosphere of a vintage cinema, replete with deep red velvet curtains, leopard-print carpeting and brass appliqués. As they enter, a fully-furnished house is unveiled with exceptional furniture designed by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran for Loro Piana Interiors; new and classic pieces from Dimoremilano upholstered with Loro Piana Interiors fabrics; items from the Loro Piana The Art of Good Living Collection, and antique pieces and art.
The installation features unique pieces designed by Dimorestudio for Loro Piana Interiors include the Quarona poufs and coffee tables, the Varallo round bed in Mohair velvet and the Valsesia oval table, the centerpiece of the dining room. Warm natural materials such as cashmere, wool, velvet and sisal elevate metal and glass elements, embodying an evolution of Loro Piana Interiors furniture. Standouts include the Locarno cabinets in fabric and glass, offering a novel tactile experience.
The house is a haven of peacefulness, with comforting familiar sounds: a phone ringing, a piano, the patter of rain on the windows, creating a soft tension between silence and movement. This soundtrack is curated by music composer and multimedia artist Nicola Guiducci.
Loro Piana also introduces a tableware collection: the Punti a Maglia porcelain tableware, handcrafted in Limoges by the skilled hands of approximately 50 artisans. Crafted with exquisite precision, each piece is decorated with a matte gold pattern of threads that chase, knot, and intertwine, linking the French excellence and tradition in porcelain with Loro Piana's textile savoir-faire.
La Prima Notte di Quiete opened to the public on April 8 and runs through April 13, from 10 am to 10 pm. Visitors can reserve through booking.loropiana.com.
