Château d’Yquem releases vibrant and delicate 2021 vintage

Each vintage of Château d’Yquem is a delightful surprise, and 2021 is no exception, revealing a vibrant and delicate wine with a distinctive crystalline freshness. 

Spring 2021 challenged our winegrowers, who faced all the risks inherent to winegrowing: frost, hail and mildew. Happily, Yquem’s unique geographical location helped preserve its famed terroirs. What’s more, a spell of magnificent weather enabled the harvest to unfold in complete serenity in three successive passes, between September 30 and October 30.  

Château d’Yquem 2021 is marked by a fresh nose of almond notes, mingled with hints of cedar, pineapple, pear, Agen plum and mandarin orange. On the palate, Château d’Yquem 2021 is quite lively, perfectly well-balanced with incredible finesse. A perfect harmony between freshness and delicacy for a superb vintage.
