Commitments for the greatest number
On the occasion of Paris 2024, the most committed Games in history, LVMH is reaffirming its commitments with actions carried out in collaboration with solidarity players.
The first partnership is with Secours Populaire Français, with whom we already have a long-standing relationship with the "Une Journée pour soi" operation in 2019 and 2020.
For Secours Populaire Français, the practice of sport contributes to the emancipation, fulfillment and improvement of the physical and mental state of children and young people in precarious situations. It is also a lever for action on disability, social diversity and equality between girls and boys. LVMH made a donation at the start of the partnership, which has already made it possible to offer more than 1,300 sports licenses to children and young people in need, 44% of whom are now involved in sport for the first time. As Secours populaire français has chosen to smooth out this support over 2 years, it will continue next year. This donation represents 77% of Secours Populaire Français's total endowment to support sporting activities.
In addition to the licenses, LVMH will welcome nearly 400 children supported and accompanied by Secours populaire français to attend the Olympic Torch Relay as it passes through the Fondation Louis Vuitton and the Jardin d'Acclimatation - which will be made free for the occasion.
LVMH also wanted to enable them to experience these Paris 2024 Games as close as possible to the athletes and has therefore donated more than 1,000 tickets to the Olympic and Paralympic Games and hundreds of seats at the Parc des Champions as well as an invitation to see para-swimming training.
Helping to make these Paris 2024 Games extraordinary is LVMH's ambition; making them Games for everyone too is its responsibility.
