The Mission

LVMH is looking for an IT Digital Director in Japan (based in Tokyo), to lead technology and Digital IT, partnering with the local teams of the Maisons in full alignment with the LVMH central teams. This role is the lead for JP and an extension of LVMH HQ for Digital IT -, technology and architecture. The role will report from a functional standpoint to the Group Tech - IT Director – CIO  based in Paris and locally to the Japan CFO/head of business development. The IT Digital director will directly lead a team of 4 people and work very closely with the LVMH Japan-wide IT community.

Job responsibilities

Overall responsibilities of the role:

• Be an active relay for rollout and local management of the central initiatives
• Define and implement specific Japanese solutions in alignment with the central team
• Support Maisons in adoption and alignment on the various Digital / Application / Tech standards
• Define technical architecture supporting application/digital projects and contribute to the global enterprise architecture community
• Establish partnerships with local technology companies and experts
• Identify opportunities for Innovation
• Enforce alignment & performance of local representatives of global IT vendors/partners
• Facilitate knowledge sharing between Maisons

More specifically, the role is structured around the following domains:

• Digital Workplace
• Provide Digital workplace services and application support for the Japan HQ
• Core IT
• Coordinate the tech deployment initiatives in terms of infrastructure and network connectivity (e.g. Cloud transition, Network Segmentation, etc.)
• Deliver group services to the HQ and Maisons (Telco nodes, shared offices…)
• Cybersecurity
• Animate cybersecurity practice across LVMH JP IT community with a focus on risk prevention, awareness and resiliency.
• Omniretail
• Center of expertise for omnichannel and omniservices (local payment solutions, POS, retail store applications, EC, Customer Service Center, ...)
• Client Development
• Center of expertise for CRM, Clienteling, Marketing Automation and LINE ecosystem
• Data/Artificial Intelligence/Generative AI
• LVMH Japan Corporate applications and adoption of Group Core Models (Finance, HR, ...)
• IT community in Japan
• Work with HR on training, learning and development
• Facilitate the internal mobility of talents

Profile

• >15 years experience in leading tech roles, including teams management
• Customer-orientated and solution-focused
• Strong technology vision around CRM, EC, Cloud, Data, etc.
• Proven success and expertise in providing IT and Digital solutions in an international environment, and client-facing capacity (retail)
• Able to build strong communities among distributed teams in a matrix organization with diverse stakeholders. Flexible to interact with diverse Maisons under different levels of maturity / size and comfortable to deal with ambiguity.
• Fluency in both Japanese and English.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior business and technology leaders. French will be a real plus
