Position

Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking an Intelligence Research Specialist who will be responsible for applying a full range of analytical knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide finished intelligence products in support of intellectual property investigations.

Incumbent will provide analytic evaluation in related intellectual property areas, gather, evaluate, analyze, and extract data from multiple or specified sources. Upon project completion incumbent produces finished analyses, reports, and make recommendations accordingly.

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

PRIMARY

  • Proficiency with multiple data bases to include but not limited to; Westlaw, Datamyne, Lexis Nexis, Dun & Bradstreet, Pacer, TLO in furtherance of identifying targets and assets for criminal and civil actions
  • Extensive utilization of social media and the internet to conduct targeting research and gather general background information
  • Knowledge of Presentation Tools such as PowerPoint, Communication tools, social media, EXCEL Spreadsheets, Graphic Design, Word Processing and Desktop for training, litigation, and trial purposes
  • Assists in trial preparation in gathering evidence for submission at litigations and civil trials
  • Testify in federal and state court regarding Intellectual Property cases

SECONDARY

  • Authors cease and desist letters, restitution requests and affidavits
  • Respond to federal, state, and local subpoenas for documentary evidence
  • Process evidence for criminal matters for presentation at trial
  • Create Flow Charts for litigation, and trial purposes
  • Train federal state and local law enforcement officers in authentication of Louis Vuitton
  • Orchestrate visibility studies for counterfeit products major market areas
  • Maintenance of CBP Recordations
  • Statistical Trend Analysis for U.S. Customs and Border Protection seizure reporting
  • Creation of Purchase Orders
  • Budget Management

Profile

We are eager to speak to candidates who have experience in intelligence research, intellectual property or any related fields. Experience in reviewing processes and evaluating intelligence information and data from a variety of sources using creative methodology for unusual problems.

  • Prior work experience with researching background information on companies and individuals.
  • Proficient in analyzing trends and patterns as well as experienced in preparing investigative reports PowerPoints reflecting results of backgrounds and analyzation of data.
  • Experienced in government agency, private investigator, or corporate research team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $100K-$115K, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
