Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, you will be responsible for driving systemic change, behavioral & people-based actions and changes to further enhance Louis Vuitton America's commitment to building and sustaining a truly diverse, equitable & inclusive company culture. By further developing and enhancing our culture-based employee initiatives, you will support our people centric mindset & thus ensure all employees feel recognized, welcomed, and valued across the business.
This role will work cross functionally with several departments including Human Resources, Retail, Retail Learning, PR & Communications, Procurement, Merchandising, Finance & Supply chain ensuring all strategies and teams are aligned with DE&I vision for the organization.
Job responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develops & implements zone-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic framework to include our vision, goals, and best practices
- Support, advocate and advise the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Advisory Council on the key pillars - (Talent Acquisition, Culture & Care, Learning & Development) to ensure they support the zone wide strategy and vision
- Partner with HR, Learning & Development, and Talent Acquisition to create DE&I strategies and tools to leverage in recruitment, performance management, engagement and development initiatives
- Review & enhance all current practices and policies, assessing and analyzing the extent to which they support the company’s DE&I goals
- Collaborate with procurement, finance and legal teams to create, implement and monitor programs designed to ensure fair and equitable treatment and selection of external vendors/partners
- Continuously develop your knowledge of DE&I-related issues and best practices to further support the overall strategic vision
- Work hand in hand with the Internal Communications team to ensure all messaging is inclusive and reflects the diverse nature of our workforce
- Act as the zones expert for all departments to leverage in relation to all DE&I queries and best practices
- Provide strategic direction for training initiatives on cultural competency, gender differences, disability, thus further building a climate of equity and inclusion.
- Galvanize & enhance our internal efforts for our employees to participate in charitable giving whether it be via encouraging volunteering, donations or ambassadorship of the designated cause
- Identify, build, and sustain community partnerships to support DE&I projects, plans, initiatives, and business strategies
- Extend reach of brand in meaningful communities by securing and growing relationships with social talent, non-profits, advocacy groups, and other key partners.
- Act as an internal consultant and champion to ensure that consideration of the social impact element of any given initiative is embedded into the decision-making process at all levels of the organization.
- Actively participate in La Belle Vie at LV to further enhance employee engagement initiatives
Profile
This leader should possess years of experience as a DEI & Social Impact leader in a large multi- national organization. The ideal candidate must possess a thorough knowledge understanding of benchmarks, leading practices and innovations in DE&I. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build coalitions and collaborative working relationships.
- Prior experience partnering with Legal teams in the formulation and adoption of policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring compliance with applicable federal/state/local laws
- Track record of developing a robust DE&I and Social Impact strategy across complex business structures
- Understanding of the contexts, cultures and politics within institutions that impact the implementation of effective diversity change efforts during times of change
- Passionate about making an impact in the world around them and have participated on social causes in their personal life.
- Thinks strategically about program design and implementation
- Effective influencer; assists groups in achieving consensus and buy-in with a growth mindset
- Ability to manage complex projects simultaneously
- Experience in developing & delivering training
- Autonomous in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong ability to make sound, mature & commercially astute business decisions
- Excels in understanding and motivating people

Additional information
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within USD $190,000 and $215,000 annually, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discounts/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.
