To ensure accurate, timely, and compliant compensation, benefits and payroll administration while providing exceptional service to employees, fostering a positive work environment, and supporting the organizational strategic objectives through effective management of employee rewards and recognition programs

Job responsibilities

 

Compensation & Benefit

  • Support annual compensation review process by working closely with Head of HR
  • Contribute to Retail’s variable pay scheme review and collaborate with Retail Performance Team to ensure it is aligned to business needs and market Competitiveness
  • Prepare salary packages by maintaining consistency and obtain approval through the approval process
  • Manage and lead Salary and Benefit surveys and provide analysis from results for best practice
  • Ensure all HR practices and policies are updated to company practices and market legal requirements
  • Lead all benefit management and administration such as staff sale, staff discount, insurance etc

 

Payroll

  • Manage Monthly work attendance and monthly payroll ensuring data accuracy
  • Lead payroll related tasks work closely with payroll vendor including tax and government related funds and payments

 

Employee Relations

  • Provide effective counseling and progressive disciplinary strategies on all ER issues, up to and including terminations by working closely with Head of HR
  • Ensure that issues are handled in consistent manner with limited exposure to the Company

 

Budgeting & HR Data Management

  • Prepare, manage and analyze budget and forecasts by working closely with various stakeholders
  • Manage and lead annual HR accrual with Finance team
  • Review all monthly / quarterly / yearly reports for HQs submission
  • Deal with Internal and external auditor on all HR audits
  • Review C&B and HR Operations process regularly to ensure process efficiencies and ensure legal ordinance is in placed
  • Lead all HR related systems to ensure data accuracy and managed in accordance with respective requirements of the company
  • Collaborate and work with HR and Local Group C&B team for any other initiatives and projects where applicable

Profile

Education & Professional experience : University Degree & Minimum 5 years of experience in Compensation & Benefit role

Languages : Fluent in Japanese & Business level of English

Specific competencies and skills:
Advanced Excel skills, Knowledge of Japan labor law, Proactive and detail-oriented, Accuracy and speed in administrative tasks, Project management skills, Hands-on and team player with a can-do attitude
