ROLE OVERVIEW

The Operations Managers is responsible for the management and maintaining the organization standards in the boutique. They also provide support for the company's overall business plan, shortage reduction programs, risk management and controllable losses. To be successful, the Operations Manager must consistently demonstrate the following core competencies.

Job responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversee store operations and ensure compliance with standards

· Establish strong partnership with Corporate Retail Operations, Store Director, and store personal

· Reinforcement of company polices

· Continuously propose additions/edits and improvements to the store operations procedures on an as-needed basis

· Compliance with Customer Relations Management

· Provide/Assist store personnel in operations/systems training

· Internal Audit and Control

· Liaise with various internal and external departments

· Contribute to the development of Operations/Loss Prevention programs.

· Support all Risk Management programs and functions. Focus on reducing incidents and associated financial losses.

· Able to influence change necessary to deliver results that support organizational goals.

· Ability to work autonomously, confident in making decision

· Responsible for the training of store personnel as it relates to operations: company policy/procedures and understanding store processes

· Provide hands on training with teams to ensure understanding of store processes and standards

· Develop competency in auditing, shortage reduction programs and system controls

· Drive results by setting goals and objectives of team, which are challenging, realistic and support company goals.

· Demonstrate the ability to analyze situations, provide direction, and communicate expectations and coach to achieve desired results.

· Reporting of Operations KPI’s to leadership

· Analysis of reports provided by Global Operations/Local Operations

· Manage programs targeting reduction of theft and fraud activities.

· Ensures the completion of audits, can analyze results and develop strategies that impact operational efficiencies and shortage exposures.

· Responsible for maintaining and adhering to payroll, expense and capital budgets in partnership with US Sr. Manager of Operations

· Centralize purchase of all packing related materials, packaging and supplies in general

· Demonstrate the ability to forecast and future needs and expenditures and communicate these needs accordingly.

· Able to effectively handle multiple tasks and projects through to successful conclusion.

· Work with Information Technology to train in store staff in CEDGID, System Reporting and SAKS Global POS

· UPS systems training with Shipping Receiving Team

· Oversee operational support functions (Shipping / Receiving, Security) ensuring guidelines are in line with company expectations

Profile

QUALIFICATIONS

· 5-10 years sales, retail, hospitality or cross-industry experience

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.

· Proven track record of profit improvement through shortage reduction and improvement in store safety practices.

· Ability to analyze people and situations effectively and provide direction to impact performance

The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000- $90,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, there is a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.
