Job responsibilities

JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing the entire quality management system from the development phase through to production. This includes defining and optimizing quality processes, ensuring the integrity and compliance of raw materials, and maintaining high standards for product quality at all stages. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Development, Production, and Supply Chain teams to establish and maintain processes that ensure products meet or exceed customer specifications.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:

  • Collaborate with Development and Production teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated early into the product development process, supporting the organization to move from a reactive approach during production phase to a proactive one;
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and supply chain teams to maintain high-quality standards;
  • Ensure that reference masters and guidelines related to the analysis and testing of raw materials are adhered to;
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, enhance product reliability, and optimize the efficiency of quality control processes.
  • Oversee the development of testing protocols, inspection methods, and validation processes to monitor product quality.
  • According to central Quality guidelines, to implement and oversee quality management processes for products from the development phase through to production, ensuring consistency, reliability, and quality at every stage;
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) that ensures product quality is maintained throughout all phases of production, from prototype to mass production.
  • Implement and standardize quality assurance protocols for product development and production, ensuring they align with customer specifications, regulatory standards, and market best practices.
  • Ensure the proper use of tools, such as Six Sigma, SPC, or similar methodologies, to analyze quality data and improve process efficiency
  • In collaboration with sourcing and procurement teams, develop and manage the supplier quality program and assess and qualify raw material suppliers.

STRATEGY and KEY TASKS

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product quality, raw material quality, and production processes
  • Perform root cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence of defects or quality issues
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing quality assurance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability towards the entire organization and external suppliers

TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Industrial field. Master degree is a plus
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in Quality and Supplier Quality, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing product quality from development to production, within a dynamic international setting, specifically focused on Operations environment
  • Deep knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) and quality management software (e.g., SAP QM, Oracle, QMS systems).
  • Expertise in quality control methodologies such as Six Sigma, SPC, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA);
  • Proficiency in quality auditing, process validation, and testing protocols
  • Good capability to work cross-functionally with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leadership, analytical thinking and creative problem-solving
  • Negotiation skills coupled with a proven ability to manage conflicts effectively
  • Ability to translate business needs into strategic actions and to address complex Operations and suppliers’ challenges
  • Certifications in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office suite for business operations
  • English Advanced knowledge (B2 or more); French knowledge is a plus;
  • Excel Advanced knowledge;
