The LVMH Group is a gold partner of the French Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai World Expo, which will take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025.

The Group was present alongside AXA Group, Alsace Wines (CIVA), and NINAPHARM at the presentation conference organized by the French exhibition company COFREX) for the unveiling of the Pavilion. A major stakeholder in the French Pavilion in Osaka, LVMH and five of its Maisons – Louis Vuitton, Dior, Celine, Chaumet and Moët Hennessy – will spotlight excellence and craftsmanship with a high-profile presence in both the permanent and temporary exhibition spaces.
The launch event took place on Tuesday, February 4 at the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris, attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, the Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and French Nationals Abroad Laurent Saint-Martin, Minister of Culture Rachida Dati and Japanese Ambassador France Makita Shimokawa. A highlight of the conference was the introduction of the quartet of ambassadors of the French Pavilion, who were on hand for the event and who are all close friends of LVMH Maisons: Sophie Marceau, Antoine Dupont, Teddy Riner and Léa Seydoux. They will represent France during key celebratory moments at the Pavilion.
Following the success of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, the French Pavilion will promote France internationally at the 2025 World Expo. This ambition resonates perfectly with LVMH’s core mission, "Savoir Faire Rêver", The Art of Crafting Dreams, leading the Group to partner with the event. LVMH has maintained close ties with Japan for many years and is one of the country's leading private sector French employers, counting more than 14,000 employees (out of 215,000 worldwide) and a network of a thousand stores in the country.

The partnership between LVMH and the French Pavilion at the Osaka 2025 World Expo is an exceptional opportunity to further highlight excellence, exemplary performance, heritage and innovation, all defining values of the unique French savoir-faire for which our Maisons are renowned. Japan holds a special place in the heart of the LVMH Group. For decades, we have together celebrated a love of heritage and nature through the dialogue of cultures and respect for local identities. This is how, year after year, we forge increasingly strong and harmonious ties,” commented Bernard Arnault, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the LVMH group.

Jacques Maire, Chairman of COFREX and Commissioner General for France Osaka 2025, unveiled the theme and guiding thread of the Pavilion, "A Hymn to Love" and its powerful messages, resonating as a promise of the future thanks to a compelling immersive exhibition featuring unique and bold scenography, coupled with a rich and engaged program.

Louis Vuitton and Dior will host two spaces in the heart of the permanent exhibition, welcoming and inspiring nearly three million visitors, more than 20,000 each day. Two other LVMH Maisons, Celine and Chaumet will also contribute to the success of the Pavilion by joining the temporary exhibition space. What’s more, Moët Hennessy will be the hospitality partner of the French Pavilion.

Throughout the permanent exhibition from April 13 to October 13:

·       Louis Vuitton retraces its history in an ode to craftsmanship and Japan, conceived with Japanese architect Shohei Shigematsu from the firm OMA. The first room will feature a “library” of 85 trunks and celebrate exceptional savoir-faire within the soundscape of a workshop, reinterpreted by IRCAM. The second room will transport visitors into a dreamlike world where a "geode of trunks" will come to life within a surrounding video installation by Japanese artist Daito Manabe.

·       Maison Dior dreams up a fabulous odyssey, a homage to the love of craftsmanship and savoir-faire. The visit will open with three variations of the timeless Dior Bar suit in blue, white, and red, while a monumental installation will present the iconic white toiles alongside emblematic Dior perfume bottles reinterpreted in 3D prints. The scenography by Nathalie Crinière will be punctuated by works by designer Tokujin Yoshioka and photographs by Yuriko Takagi. A tribute to excellence and the powerful ties forged between Dior and Japan.

·       As hospitality partner, Moët Hennessy will propose a selection of wines and champagnes on the "bistro" menu and during special Pavilion events.

From April 13 to May 12, 2025, in the temporary exhibition space:

Celine celebrates its craftmanship and its strong ties with Japanese culture & know-how, through a dialogue between “Urushi”, the local traditional lacquer, and the Parisian house’s emblem, the “Triomphe”. Throughout the month, the exhibition will showcase the work of visual artists Soshi Nakamura and Hikoju Maki-e, as well as exclusive maroquinerie pieces.

From September 1st to October 13, 2025, in the temporary exhibition space:

A naturalist jeweler for over 240 years, Chaumet will take visitors on a sensory journey centered on its emblematic honeycomb cell, through which the Maison celebrates its love for the beauty and vitality of nature.
