The École du Louvre, a prestigious educational institution under France’s Ministry of Culture, is partnering with Louis Vuitton, underscoring the Maison’s commitment to education, research and cultural heritage.
Louis Vuitton is the first Maison to become a patron of the school, which was founded in 1882 and is internationally recognized for an educational approach centered on direct proximity with works of art.
With its emphasis on equal opportunity, the École du Louvre has established a program of financial aid for students from modest backgrounds, funded primarily by private donors. To bolster this program, Louis Vuitton is providing funding for eight scholarships over a three-year period.
Included in the scholarships announced on February 12 are two research grants for doctoral students whose work explores broad themes related to Louis Vuitton’s collections and history. In addition, six living grants will go to undergraduate and master’s students, selected on the basis of academic performance and socioeconomic background.
This partnership is aligned with Louis Vuitton’s vision as a key contributor to cultural and educational initiatives. In supporting talented students at École du Louvre, the Maison is pursuing a sustainable approach where art, history and research come together to shape the future of heritage.
