General Purpose of the Position:

We are seeking a Department Manager to join our team at Loro Piana. The Department Manager will be responsible for overseeing the success of a designated product category, focusing on optimizing sales performance and enhancing client satisfaction. Leveraging your in-depth product knowledge and team management skills, you will lead your department to achieve and exceed targets. You will also support the store in daily operations and inventory management. Your passion for building client relationships and curating elevated shopping experiences will contribute to the success of key business initiatives.

Job responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

  • Collaborate with store leadership to implement comprehensive action plans aimed at enhancing sales performance for your department.
  • Identify key opportunities for optimizing sales growth and operational efficiencies within the product category.
  • Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and visual presentation of the department in alignment with Loro Piana’s standards to create a luxurious atmosphere for clients.
  • Develop strong relationships with top clients by managing VIC initiatives to reflect an elevated brand image.
  • Manage post-sale services to enhance client relationships by ensuring the highest level of luxury service and navigate critical situations with a high level of professionalism.

Team Management

  • Partner with the Store Manager to oversee a successful team by delegating tasks, providing comprehensive training within the product category, and developing service standards.
  • Lead the department to ensure an efficient approach towards achieving sales goals, fostering a motivated and positive work environment.
  • Communicate sales updates and analyses on a regular basis to department team members, fostering strategic planning initiatives for optimizing sales performance.
  • Define and oversee both quantitative and qualitative objectives, tracking team achievements through performance analysis, monthly activity checks, and annual evaluations.

Operations

  • Provide support in operational procedures including inventory management, daily opening/closing activities, and shift planning.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to ensure adherence of internal procedures, as well as safety and labor regulations.
  • Coordinate visual merchandising activities to ensure that products are displayed in accordance with Loro Piana standards.
  • Manage various department-related inventory activities to ensure that stock levels are aligned with sales potential.

Profile

Skills and Abilities Required

  • 5+ years of management and sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and other digital tools.
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of sales, operations, and inventory.
  • Passionate about the Loro Piana brand and the luxury industry.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.

Compensation

Loro Piana uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market-competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, Loro Piana reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $125,000 to $140,000 per year.
