July 14 and 15 were the highlights of the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay for LVMH, a premium partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. For this event, the Group welcomed the global public at Place de la Monnaie in front the Louis Vuitton headquarters, as well as during an exceptional stop at the Fondation Louis Vuitton where Basquiat x Warhol's "Olympic Rings" piece was displayed for the occasion. Then the relay passed by the Jardin d'Acclimatation, a popular and iconic place in Paris's 16th arrondissement.

The Group played a major role in launching this Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay in Paris with the opening of the Louis Vuitton torch trunk for the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay on the Champs Élysées. It was opened by two craftsmen from the Maison, Camille Rouze and Pierre-Louis Vuitton — a descendant of the Maison's founder. In presence of Anne Hidalgo, Paris Mayor, the first torchbearer Thierry Henry, French international footballer, was given the torch from within this trunk by Tony Estanguet, Paris 2024 President, and began his relay along this legendary avenue.

LVMH offered a series of artistic and musical animations open to all on Place de la Monnaie. It was followed by the passage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay in front of the Maison Louis Vuitton.

The buildings were connected by a fabric symbolizing both LVMH talents that teamed up on the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay since May 8th, representing craftsmanship and social bonds that highlight LVMH Maisons’ local networks.

Sephora, Official Partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relays, hosted their experiential pop-up at the Hotel de Ville’s Paris 2024 celebration zone, marking their final stage after Bordeaux, Nice, and Lille.

LVMH welcomed back the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay to the Fondation Louis Vuitton where the torch trunk was displayed before Frank Gehry's building entrance, at the exact spot where a collaborator from the Foundation began their relay. Thomas Bach, CIO President, Anne Hidalgo, Paris Mayor, Jérémy Redler Maro of Paris 16th arrondissement, Tony Estanguet, Paris 2024 President, Bernard Arnault, LVMH Chairman and CEO, Antoine Arnault, Image and Environment at LVMH, were all present to celebrate the unique moment.

Etoile dancer of the National Paris Opera, Germain Louvet, walked through the Foundation pausing briefly before Jean-Michel Basquiat & Andy Warhol’s “Olympic Rings” painting lent uniquely for this moment. He handed off to two Sephora collaborators who crossed through green mirror pathways into Jardin d’Acclimatation avenues; then the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay ended with one collaborator from the Jardin d’Acclimatation, an ex-French athlete specializing in sprinting events. Over three hundred children from French charity “Secours populaire”, Group employees with families & friends plus the global public attended these extraordinary moments. For this occasion, entry into Jardin d’Acclimatation along with ride access was free; makeup and baking workshops and even biodiversity ateliers were hosted by various LVMH Maisons.
