Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024: LVMH salutes the performance of its athletes, Artisans of All Victories!

As part of the premium partnership between LVMH and Paris 2024, LVMH has been providing direct support ahead of the Games to athletes whose exemplary achievements make them Artisans of All Victories.

Together with several of its Maisons, the Group is supporting seven exceptional Olympic and Paralympic athletes:

Antoine Dupont 

Capped over 50 times for France’s 15-a-side team, Antoine Dupont is an exceptionally talented rugby player. At 27, the French half-scrum has already earned an impressive array of titles in 15-a-side rugby. He was voted World Rugby Men’s Player of the Year in 2021, won the Six Nations title in 2022, and has earned three Top 14 titles and the European Cup in club competition. At the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, the LVMH and Louis Vuitton Ambassador is trying a different rugby format – rugby sevens – in an attempt to win his first Olympic medal.

July 27:

Olympic champion! France has come first in the rugby sevens final against Fidji, giving Antoine Dupont his first Olympic medal! Finale score: 26-7 

Léon Marchand 

Five-time swimming world champion and Ambassador for LVMH and Louis Vuitton, Toulouse-born Léon Marchand is among France’s leading Olympic medal hopes. The son of former swimmers, he became France’s 200-meter butterfly champion in 2019, making him the first French swimmer to obtain such a title at the tender age of 17. Now 23, Léon has qualified for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 in four individual events: 200-meter medley, 400-meter medley, 200-meter butterfly and 200-meter breaststroke.

July 28:

Today, Léon Marchand competed in his first event at the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024: the 400-meter individual medley. This was also his most highly anticipated event, because the young Frenchman currently holds the world record.  

Leon Marchand took Olympic gold with a record time of 4.2min in the 400m 4-swim, winning his first Olympic title.

July 30:

Léon Marchand competed in two events today: the semi-finals of the 200m butterfly and the 200m breaststroke, which took place on the same evening. It was a successful gamble for our champion, who came out on top and qualified brilliantly for tomorrow’s finals. 

July 31:

Gold medal in the 200m butterfly and Olympic record of 1'51"21 ahead of Hungary's Kristof Milak and Canada's Ilya Kharun in his first final of the evening.  

A few hours after his first title, our athlete achieved his historic feat: he won the 2nd Olympic gold medal of the evening in the 200m breaststroke in 2'05"85. An Olympic record! 

August 1:

The day after winning two Olympic titles on the same night - a historic performance - Léon Marchand qualified for tomorrow evening's 200m medley final by finishing 1stof his semi-final. 

August 2:

A dream becomes a triumph.  

Four-time Olympic champion! Léon Marchand claimed his fourth title of these Olympic Games Paris 2024 by winning the final of the 200m individual medley. He now has a total of four Olympic gold medals, ahead of the relay races scheduled for this weekend. 

August 3:

After four individual gold medals, all of them Olympic records, it was time for the relays for Léon Marchand and the French team.  

1st race: the mixed 4 x 100m medley. Léon Marchand and Team France end up in 4th place. 

August 4:

Qualified with the French men's team for the 4x100m medley relay, Léon Marchand and his three teammates won the bronze medal, after a race won by the Chinese team.  

5 Olympic medals for Léon Marchand at these Olympic Games Paris 2024. Well done! 

Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos 

Eight-time French champion and four-time European champion, Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos is one of France’s most promising gymnasts. The young LVMH and Dior Ambassador has won international admiration for her talent, determination and resilience in a career marked by injuries. After a disappointing result at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, Mélanie put her sporting career on hold – but not for long! She relocated to the United States, where she regained her enthusiasm and desire to win by training alongside superstar gymnast Simone Biles. Today, the young Frenchwoman is competing at the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, both individually and as part of the national team.

July 28:

Mélanie de Jesus Dos Santos and the French artistic gymnastics team lost out in the qualifying round of the all-round competition. That's the end of the competition for our athlete.

Enzo Lefort 

LVMH and Louis Vuitton Ambassador Enzo Lefort has one of the most impressive records in French fencing. At 32, he’s won numerous titles in French, European and world championships, including world individual foil fencing champion in 2019 and 2022. He was also a team Olympic gold medalist in Tokyo in 2021 and a team Olympic silver medalist in Rio in 2016. With three Olympic Games already under his belt, Enzo Lefort is poised to leave an even greater mark on the history of fencing, having set his sights on two gold medals in Paris – individual and team.

July 29:

Despite a very fine performance, French fencer Enzo Lefort lost out in the quarter-finals of the individual foil event. See you in a few days' time for the team event.

August 4:

After a fine start in the quarter-final against South Korea, the French foil team and Enzo Lefort lost 45-37 in the semi-final against Japan. 

In the bronze medal match, Enzo and his teammates came out on top against the USA. Well done Enzo, and well done to the whole French team. 

Pauline Déroulède

LVMH and Dior Ambassador is three-time consecutive French champion in wheelchair tennis and currently ranks 13th in the world. The athlete’s life changed radically in October 2018 when she was hit by a car and had her left leg amputated. Almost ironically, she says, this dramatic event spurred her to take up tennis again and set her sights on a new goal – winning gold at the Paralympic Games Paris 2024.

In a very close match, Pauline Déroulède and her partner Ksénia Chasteau lost to their Colombian opponents in three sets.   

August 31:

Our athlete Pauline Déroulède was unable to overcome her Colombian opponent Angelica Bernal, losing in two sets 6/3 - 6/1. Well done Pauline for your performance! 

Marie Patouillet 

Born with a malformation of the left foot, Marie Patouillet practiced many sports until arthritis limited her options to swimming and cycling. A general practitioner with more than 10 years of military service, she discovered her passion for para-cycling during an amateur “L’Etape by Tour de France” race. Since then, she’s been racking up the victories, including two bronze medals in Tokyo in 2021. The 35-year-old athlete and Ambassador for LVMH and Dior is now on a quest for gold at the Paralympic Games Paris 2024. She’s also a vocal advocate for more inclusion and less discrimination in high-level sports: these commitments, she says, are more important than her medals.

August 29:

After qualifying in the final of the 500m Time Trial in the morning finishing in third position in her heat, para-cyclist Marie Patouillet won the silver medal, behind the Dutch para-cyclist Caroline Groot.

September 1:

Marie Patouillet, Paralympic champion!  

After qualifying in the morning in the finale, Marie Patouillet beats the odds to win Paralympic gold against her  French teammate Heidi Gaugain!

Marie Patouillet finished 5th in the individual time trial (C5) and road race event (C5).

Timothée Adolphe 

Renowned French para-athlete Timothée Adolphe is the 200-meter European record-holder and has won 20 gold medals at French championships and six at European championships. The visually-impaired 34-year-old began training as a sprinter in the late 2010s and has since logged a host of impressive performances and records. After being disqualified at the Paralympic Games in Rio in 2016 for stepping on the line and then again in Tokyo in 2021 for losing contact with his guide, the French sprinter and Ambassador for LVMH and Louis Vuitton is now single-mindedly focused on his goal of Paralympic gold – the ultimate prize to crown an exceptional career.

August 31:

After brilliantly qualifying for the 400m semi-final in the T11 category in the morning, Timothée Adolphe repeated his excellent performance by placing 1st in his semi-final with the best time. See you tomorrow evening for the final! 

September 1:

Finale night for our sprinter, Timothée Adolphe! 

Timothée Adolphe and his guide, Jeffrey Lami, qualified for the final with the best time in their semi-final heat, and eventually won the silver medal in the 400m T11 category, only beaten by the Venezuelan duo.

September 4:

After a very fine silver medal in the 400m T11 event, Timothée Adolphe and his guide Charles Renard qualified for tomorrow's final by finishing 1st in their semi-final.

September 5:

In the T11 100m final, Timothée Adolphe and his guide Charles Renard took 2nd place and a fine silver medal in 11'05. Paralympic runner-up, well done Timothée and Charles!
