Stella McCartney celebrated birds and called for their protection with her latest collection, featuring the manifesto “Save what you love”, inspired by author and birdwatcher Jonathan Franzen’s book The End of the End of the Earth.

With the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop, the Spring-Summer 2025 collection presented a new vision of powerful femininity, sporty allure and sensuality. Carrying Stella Times newspapers under their arms, the models channeled the creative director’s pioneering vision. This season’s ready-to-wear is crafted from 91% conscious materials. Gray and sky blue shades are punctuated by vivid red and set off by black and white. Savile Row tailoring plays on masculine-feminine themes with oversized volumes, wide pants and strong shoulders. Stripes on suits glimmer with lead-free crystals. Vegan alternatives to leather grace boxer culottes and sneakers designed in collaboration with Adidas.

Long and mini dresses abound in the collection. Lace and silk bodysuits impart a contemporary touch to vintage lingerie. Fluid draping caresses the body, flowing with each step, while sleeve cutouts appear like wings. Hand-painted doves on silk or mesh bodysuits with wings over the bust evoke Stella McCartney’s lover for the animal kingdom. Dove jewels are crafted from repurposed  gold and silver, created with 886 by The Royal Mint. The new Stella Ryder bag, with a shape mirroring the curved back of the horse, the designer’s favorite animal, melds exquisite craft and innovation. A silver edition is in Hydefy, a groundbreaking material made from fungi and sugar cane derivatives – another example of Stella McCartney’s passion for engaged and visionary fashion that celebrates women and their freedom.
