A tribute to the deep and enduring ties between Dior and Saudi Arabia, the exhibition Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams at the Saudi National Museum in Riyadh takes place from November 21, 2024 to April 2, 2025 as part of Riyadh Season 2024.

Following its success at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the retrospective conceived by curator Florence Müller and scenographer Nathalie Crinière brings to life over 75 years of creative audacity sparked by the pioneering vision of Christian Dior.

From the Maison’s mythic 30 Montaigne address to portraits of creative directors by Yan Pei-Ming, the exhibition explores the creative universe of Dior. A first space with a pop spirit evokes the launch of Miss Dior, the House’s first ready-to-wear line, and the effervescence of the Sixties. Iconic Dior codes then unfold in a multitude of signature Dior themes, and the Colorama – an enthralling cabinet of curiosities – reaffirms the essential role of Dior accessories. The exhibition also celebrates the iconic lady Dior bag through works created as part of the Dior Lady Art project.

Reflecting the shared fascination of Dior and Saudi Arabia for the wonders of nature, an enchanted setting and ode to the authentic, preserved beauty of the Al’-Ula oasis, hosts a series of dresses in hypnotic shades, evoking the nuances of the sun embracing the desert.

This magnificent odyssey from yesterday to the present celebrates Dior elegance, in the name of dreams.
